In the fashion industry, many jobs incorporate the ability to assess someone else or a group of people (target market) and transfer the analysis to a project board. The goal is to really understand the person or people and use fashion to express who they and we are. We do this in photo shoots, trend boards, advertising, web picture placement, catalog, movies, TV and music. The ability to have a crisp and clear mission statement and key words to communicate this message is how we market fashion within the industry as well as with our consumers. Since our industry continues to focus on micro and niche marketing it becomes even more important to capture the sub styles that are a part of the smaller market.
